With tag lines like that how can we go wrong? Seriously, brothers. I bought the poster for this flick a while back based on the cute 60's chick in a mini-skirt and thigh-high boots spreading her legs atop of a Triumph. C'mon! Who cares if it's any good.
It's from 1968 and it's lumped right in with all the other classics we've seen of that era. Only this time it's a female gang. And go figure, the main chick is jilted and catty. Her boyfriend breaks up with her to marry some straight-laced girl, so the prez of the biker gang thinks she'll get him back by any means necessary.
I wanted to check this out after we watched Sukeban Gurira for a little comparison. We've seen the 1972 Japanese b-movie take on female biker gangs, now let's see how the U.S. interprets female biker gangs of the era. I'll tell you right now that there won't be nearly as many awesome boobs in this flick. BUT there will be copious motorcycle porn. And for what it's worth, I read that it's a Honda gang (which differs from the promotional images. I think Triumphs have a little more marketing cachet, I guess.) So we'll get back to tons of motorcycles and women in suggestively tight or revealing clothing. I wish we could mash the two and combine the rarely clothed Japanese gang with motorcycles for 95% of the movie. The closest we'll come was this season's opener, Hell Ride.
ANYWAY, you know the time and the place. I was thinking of hitting up Andy's Pizza. It's on Woodward just south of 12 mile, I believe. Looks like it could be a decent little indie joint. But it might cost more than $3.75 a head this time. We'll see...
